A graveside service will follow at Mountain View Cemetery in Beaver.
Our beloved father, grandfather, brother and friend, Calvin B. Warby, returned home to his Father in Heaven on June 22, 2026 in Beaver, Utah. Calvin was born September 22, 1959 in Salt Lake City, Utah to William Edward and Georgean Olcott Warby. He was the youngest of six children. When Calvin was 2 years old his family moved to Beaver.
Growing up in Beaver was an adventure for Calvin. He learned early to work on the family farm. He loved the mountains and going fishing with his older brothers. He had many friends and loved to play board and card games with them and with his family. In high school he worked on the radio crew announcing the high school ballgames. He was an excellent student and was always on the honor roll.
After graduating from high school Calvin served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the California Ventura Mission. He attended Brigham Young University where he met and married Kelley McClure (later divorced). Together they had four sons.
Calvin was known for his sense of humor, especially by his family and the other residents at the Beaver Long-Term Care Center. He was a life-long learner. He especially loved to read the scriptures and any scripture reference book he could get a hold of. He had a strong testimony of the restored gospel of Jesus Christ. His other great love was family history, and he was very meticulous about verifying any information on FamilySearch. He was also known for sharing family histories and Beaver County histories on Facebook.
Calvin is survived by his sons, Benjamin Calvin (Carmelita) Warby, “Hyrum” Danny Warby, Joseph William Warby, and Matthew Young Warby; grandchildren including Abigail Ann Warby, Spencer Samuel Warby, Michael James Talty Warby, Shawn William Warby, and Sherry Noel Warby; two brothers, Stephen and Wayne (Sandi) Warby; and two sisters, Nanette Warby and Janiene (Kim) Christopherson. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Brent Warby.
We know that while we mourn his passing from this life there is great rejoicing in heaven as he is greeted by his parents, brother, and many, many who are waiting to thank him for finding their names so their temple work can be completed.
The family would like to thank Dr. Lance Smith and the staff and friends at the care center for caring for Calvin the past 4 years. We would also like to thank the Beaver 3rd Ward for their service to Calvin and our family at this time.
In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the American Diabetes Association.
The eulogy will be shared here following the service. Please check back.
If you would like to leave a memory, a message of condolence, or a tribute for Calvin and his family, you can do so on his obituary page. Your words mean a great deal to us.
